Tankless installs run $3,900 to $6,400 depending on gas capacity and venting. We keep 40 and 50 gallon tanks on the truck so most homes have hot water back the same day you call. Call 720 664 0815.

Old water heater leaking in a Brighton utility closet? Here is what it takes to replace it right

A water heater is the single biggest comfort appliance in your house until it dies, at which point it becomes the biggest hassle in north Denver. The install matters almost as much as the brand. A top tier Bradford White installed poorly will fail in 6 years. A mid tier A. O. Smith installed right will outlive your dog. In Brighton we install for longevity, not for speed of the invoice, which is why our warranty call volume is almost zero.

What a proper install looks like

  1. Code first. New flex lines rated for water heaters, new shutoff, new T and P valve, new drip pan with drain to an approved location.
  2. Gas and combustion. Gas pressure verified. Atmospheric units get a draft test to make sure the flue pulls. Power vent units get their vent pitched correctly.
  3. Expansion control. Where required, an expansion tank is added or replaced because thermal expansion is what murders T and P valves.
  4. Water quality. We ask about your water. If you are on hard water, we talk anode rods and flush schedule, not a sales pitch for a softener.
  5. Permit and inspection. We pull the permit, meet the inspector, and hand you the sign off for your records.
  6. Haul away. Your old tank leaves on our truck, not in your driveway.
A word on warranties. Most tanks carry 6, 9 or 12 year warranties from the manufacturer. The catch is parts only, and only if the install was to code and the anode rod has been maintained. We give you a written maintenance schedule so you can stay in warranty.

FAQ

Can I keep my old vent?

Sometimes. If we are replacing like for like and the vent meets current code, yes. If the code changed, the vent was marginal, or the new unit is power vent, the vent gets rebuilt.

Will a softener help my water heater last?

Yes, meaningfully in hard water areas of the north Denver metro. If you already have one we keep it running. If you do not, we can quote one separately or give you an honest opinion on whether you need it.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We work with Wisetack and similar partners. We can send you a no commitment soft pull option that funds same day.
